Teen Jobs

Teens all over the country are pressured by their parents to get jobs. It is a very stressful thing for most teens. In this economy, there are pretty much no more jobs available. People are losing their jobs constantly almost everyday. Teens might think that it would be too much to handle. I don’t blame them but I also don’t blame the parents for pressuring their children to get jobs.
I think that there are many reasons why teens don’t need to get jobs. One of the reasons is that there has been a lot of school work lately. Trying to keep up with classes while keeping up with your work schedule can get difficult. Also, if your part of any extracurricular activities likes a sport you don’t want to let your team down when you have to work all the time. I don’t think I would be able to keep up with all those things.
I think that teens should get jobs for the following reasons. Some parents can’t afford to send their kids to college. So they might tell their kids if they want to go to college they better work really hard and get a job so you can go to college. Having a job can also make a person become better rounded. They could look like to different colleges that they can work hard enough and maybe they should accept them. Those reasons are why I think I’m going to get a job.
Jobs are very important to teens and more teens should be involved in getting a job. I think it would make them look more professional and they would have good experience when they go on job interviews. Get a job but also stay in school.

Ching! Ching!

Athlete’s pay is outrageous these days. Some players for NBA, NFL, and the MLB get almost around $1 million dollars a year or even more. That’s a lot of money. Some of the players have been playing since they were age 5 through high school and into college and now their playing in the big leagues. During those early years most of the kids would say they did their sport because it’s fun. Then why do they get paid if its something they think is fun? They should be that they get to play a sport they love and not ask for any money doing it.
I think that the pay is getting ridiculous. I play sports and I don’t want money for it. The experience I get from playing these sports is amazing and that’s all I want is to learn something from being on a team and working on life goals. I think that the athletes should get another job and play sports for a side thing for fun, with no pay. They are pretty much rubbing all their rich and in our face when they score a goal, get a touchdown, or get a homerun because they just received $1,000 for helping the team and for something they should do anyway in a game.

Paparazzi

The paparazzi has been following actors, singers, and victims of the media. We’ve seen them in magazines and in newspapers. From Britney Spears to Paris Hilton have been victims. They’ve been seen doing some embarrassing things in their lifetime. The paparazzi are the reason for these stories and headlines. Some of these victims just think that they are plain annoying and they need to find another job. The stars can’t enjoy their private life because the paparazzi make their lives miserable. Why can’t the paparazzi just leave them alone?
I think that the paparazzi are just plain annoying. The same headlines about the same people always seem to show up. I don’t need to know that Britney Spears shaved her head and wears pink wigs every time I buy a magazine. I don’t want to have to read about the same person over and over again over the same story it’s just annoying. I mean I like true facts about people if their getting married or they did something good in the world. Hearing about someone’s hardships in life is just depressing. I think the paparazzi should just get lives.

A Country in a Crisis

The USA government has made yet another ridiculous law. Each family is not allowed to have no more than 2 kids per family. They think that the country is too over-populated because of the immigrants that keep coming over from other countries. If you family has more than 2 kids the 2 youngest kids of the family have to find a place of their own or they are going to be an orphan in another country. This sounds a lot like the problems that are happening in China except in China you can only have one 1 kid unless you pay a fine then you can have more children. The difference between these situations is and the situations in China are that the citizens of the USA aren’t allowed to have no more than 2 kids at all they’re not even allowed to pay a fine. It’s only 2 kids and that’s it.
I have a strong opinion on this topic. I don’t like what the government is doing. If they’re worried about the population then they need to stop the immigrants from coming over or not to except them. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are going to be a lot of boycotts. The government better watch out because this could get ugly.

The Left-Handed Big Mac

McDonald’s published a full page advertisement in USA Today announcing the introduction of a new item to their menu: a "Left-Handed Big Mac" specially designed for the 32 million left-handed Americans. According to the advertisement, the new whopper included the same ingredients as the original Big Mac (lettuce, tomato, hamburger patty, etc.), but all the condiments were rotated 180 degrees for the benefit of their left-handed customers. The following day Burger King issued a follow-up release revealing that although the Left-Handed Big Mac was a hoax, thousands of customers had gone into restaurants to request the new sandwich. Simultaneously, according to the press release, "many others requested their own 'right handed' version."
I prefer the right handed Big Mac. Although, I’m not really am I a fan of McDonald’s, I think this is a great idea. Those people who are left handed probably feel left out so I think this is a great way for people in our society who are left handed don’t feel left out anymore.

SWAN ATTACK!!!!

Scientists have been researching the reasons for the H1N1 flu for the past year. While they were researching, one of the scientists decided to make sure that they would be ready for other flu’s that come up the road. Well while they were coming up with these vaccines they considered a swan part of the bird flu, but that was a big mistake.
People in South America have been dying of Swan Flu within seconds of each other. This has been the deadliest flu in the world to date. The swans have been migrating up towards North America since the summer is coming and they want to be warm but not near the equator. Obama wants to put cages all around the U.S.A so the swans can not come in. “Scientists do not have enough time to put a vaccine together. We need to something about this and fast,” the president said outside his white home.
Many of you should be afraid if you catch this flu, you could die within minutes. I would shut your windows, close all doors, and never come outside again.

Is Our School Really as Safe as it Could Be?

There has been a lot of construction in our school lately during classes. The construction causes fumes to go into the school atmosphere. In a couple of classes people have had headaches or asthma attacks while the construction workers are drilling. The 7th graders wanted to go on strike because of these harsh conditions but most of them got in trouble because people told them not to wear a mask which is what they did to go on strike. They had their masks taken away and had to stop putting tape on their shirts of sayings of “Got Air? ‘Cause we don’t!” or “Where Did All the Air Go?” Students thought that it wasn’t fair that we couldn’t go on a silent strike.
I was all for the strike and felt that we didn’t make such a riot and there was no need to make us take our masks off or rip the tape of our shirts. I mean it’s not like anybody got hurt or anything. I would have totally been against the whole strike thing but that wasn’t the situation. The teachers looked at the strike at a different perspective then we did. During the time that we did strike, people never got hurt or anything.
I think the teachers could have handled it differently and not make such a big deal about it. Construction is still going on; we can’t do anything about it. Some of my teachers still get annoyed by the racket going on while classes are getting taught. Teachers get confused at themselves because they can’t teach their students. I just think that they could just do construction after school or on weekends, not during school.
